GRACEFULLY GROWING
This year we are going to develop themes of Faith, Maturity and Fruitfulness, and we can all look for stages of growth taking place.
Ephesians 4:15 - "In all things grow up into Him."
Many of us, as Believers, have stunted our growth in spiritual things. Every Easter, Reload, Assembly and Christmas, we are still the same as the year before. There's no progress, no transformation. We are alive, we exist, we are surviving, but we don't grow.
Should we be content just believing in Jesus, and not
longing to be shaped more and more into His image?
No!
As obedient servants in God's Kingdon, we should become more filled with the knowledge of our Lord through His Word. To ripen to grace, like a delicious fruit, we must live close to Jesus, in His presence, ripened by His Sonshine. Then we will find ourselves moving towards holiness, growing in love, in faithfulness, in hope - in every precious gift of His towards maturity and fruitfulness.
May we continue to leave legacies that will be beneficial to
others: feeding into families, churches, the Baptist Union, and ultimately to
new, stronger, Godlier generations to come.
In this way, we can set a different path for ourselves and
others - a Godly path!!!
