Whats been happening in the BWD for the last few months of 2015. Part 1

It is amazing to think that this time next week we will have the Spring equinox here in the Southern Hemisphere indicating that two thirds of the year has past and we are fast approaching the end of the 2015.  Normally this time of the year is so busy getting ready for the Annual Assembly but this year those meetings took place in July amidst all the Baptist World Alliance Meetings that were held in South Africa.

This year has been so busy that the last time I had opportunity to update this blog was in March and so much has happened among Baptist women since that time. Let me update you with all the interesting information to date.

During the month of April the President Edith Smith went with Naomi Scheepers, Aukje Brouer and Jeanette Mashigo the Kriel to share and train the ladies in Mpumlanga.

All the Hidden Treasure shops sent a representative to join the National Hidden Treasure board at Carmel Guest farm in George for a training event.  Most of the time was spent training but fun was also had when the participants had the privilege of modelling some of the most exotic outfits that  we have received in our shops.

Project Dorcas teamed up with the Women of Worth program at the Bellevue Church where Gospel Dolls are being made to be used as an evangelism tool.

During the month of May the various regional and ministry leaders met in Port Elizabeth  for a board meeting and to evaluate the way ahead for the BWD.
