Enoch walked with God - Devotional

Let us focus on the following passage as we consider the aspect of our walk with God and being Unashamed of my Faith.

Heb 11:5  By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and he was not found, because God translated him: for he hath had witness borne to him that before his translation he had been well-pleasing unto God

Enoch teaches us the following principles that we need to apply as we walk with God.

1. To walk with God is to trust God. Trusting God is not always simple.
Trusting is not always easy particularly as we are encouraged to to trust in ourselves and to take charge of our lives in the world today. It literary means that we need to let God have control and we need to be along for the ride.

2. To walk with God means that we have to keep adjusting our plans.
We need to accept that God will bring about changes in our daily plans and that these changes have a plan and a purpose in God's overall scheme.

3.  To walk with God we need to be secure in our relationship with Christ.
We need to live with a view of where we are going.  If we are unsure of are relationship with Christ we need to resolve this issue.  We cannot live a life of intimacy with God when we feel insecure in the relationship.

Are you ready and willing to walk with God?  Have you accepted Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour?  If the answer is yes then you are ready and you will spend eternity with Him.
