Update of whats been happening in the BWD Part 3

July was a busy month as the Baptist World Alliance Leadership conference  was  held in Johannesburg, the Assembly was held at Skogheim and the Congress in Durban.  Here are some pictures of these events to enjoy:- 




                    

   
Skogheim Assembly 

Jeanette Mashigo was Inducted by Edith Smith as the President of the BWD.


 

The Women's Department continues to present Long Service Awards recipient with a financial gift.  These gifts are funded from the profits of the Hidden Treasure ministry.  

After the Assembly many of the delegates attended the Baptist World Alliance Congress in Durban. Our Director Patricia Ihlenfeldt introduced and planned the opening ceremony for the Congress.




The Women's Department  sole Aprons and T-shirts at the Conference and Congress in aid of the #be the Change campaign and Project Dorcas skills development. Thank you to Heather Sullivan and Edith Smith and others who assisted with the sales at these events. 








After the Congress the President of the Kenyan Baptist Women's Department, Jane Mwangi, spent 10 days with the director, visiting various projects and having fellowship with the ladies in the King Williams Town area.  Her primary function for visiting was for her to receive some information and assistance from the BWD in setting up a National department in Kenya.





During the month of August Jeanette Mashigo,  our President came to visit the ladies in the Border starting with a rally at Tylden in Queenstown and ending her visit by preaching at the Calvary Baptist Church in Briedbach.
